The Lucky One online book talk
Did I cancel an event where I supposed to tell you all about The Lucky One? I’m so sorry. I had to. You have to. We all have to. Please stay inside as much as possible because, if you’re here, I like you or love you or would like you if I met you, and I want you to be safe.
The good news? I did a recorded book talk [I really wanted to use the word “taped” there, ha], much like the sort of thing I would have done if I had visited your library or bookstore. I tell the stories I have about writing The Lucky One, the inspirations. I talk about becoming a writer, which people always want to hear about. I did a short reading of a section of The Lucky One (but it’s at the end, so you can skip it because I KNOW). If you want to spend a little time together, check it out.
And if you want a copy of the book, Volumes Book Cafe in Chicago (sister owned!) is doing free shipping right now (so are many of your favorite independents—hit them up for all your bookish needs for this quarantine) and set up this page with my books.
Thanks to Wiley Cash for hosting me and to Rebecca George for that booksales link. And thanks to all the libraries and bookstores and conferences who understood immediately that we needed to postpone.
